Coco Noir Starazogorski

56 days — 'Coco Noir Starazogorski' is an attractive, dual-purpose variety with pods that are about five inches long, flat and light-green in color.  When picked at the young, immature stage, they are stringless and used cut or sliced in a julienne, French-style. If allowed to mature, the glossy, black beans can be used shelled or as dry beans.

Although available in Europe, it is fairly uncommon in the United States.  Each ounce is approximately 55 to 60 seeds.

Customer Reviews Average Rating review
They are beyond delicious.
I grew a full two rows of these for the first time last season. Dried them and put them away. Just tried them. I tell you what - just one serving changed me from "oh these were WAY too much work" to "How much space can I make for these this year?" They are beyond delicious. And they weren't really that much work - no more than any other beans. Please give them a try. You will be glad you did.
