55 days — As its name implies, 'Pronto' beets are known to reach maturity quicker than most other varieties of red beets.  It is a good, dual purpose beet variety.  Its leaves are dark green with red veins and tasty when harvested at the immature, tender stage.

The roots are smooth, globe shaped, burgundy colored.  They hold well in the ground and can stay uniformly sized long after peak harvest.  However, they are best at the "baby beet" stage when they are one to two inches in diameter.  Each packet contains two grams, which is approximately 150 seeds.

We love these beets.
We love these beets. My son (2 years) loves them fresh, so it has been wonderful that they truly have held their size and not gotten woody. Having them in the ground longer has given me the best opportunity to use them as we need them. The leaves are also very good in stir fry, adds a nice color! :)
