This book is being offered as part of the Victory Horticultural Library's fundraising efforts.  Proceeds from this purchase directly support the acquisition of rare horticultural documentation which is instrumental as part of the Victory Seed Company's seed variety preservation work.

"Thomas Jefferson’s Garden Book" is a compilation of Jefferson’s own horticultural diary, along with many of his letters, drawings, and notes relating to his gardens at Monticello and Poplar Forest. This classic volume captures the planning and planting, successes and failures of Jefferson’s ambitious and experimental gardens.

For anyone interested in the origins of gardening in the United States, in history, in early agriculture, in 18th Century botany, or just a peek into the mind of one of our most important founding fathers, this book will become one of your treasures.
