Shipping for gum & candy is based on the total weight of your order.

The most economical route for most orders is the US Mail Priority Flat Rate with delivery confirmation. This will run $6.45 for very small orders and $10.45 for most standard size orders.

For larger orders where shipping will be a lot higher, we will calculate the best rate and email you for your approval before we charge your card.

Note: Our shopping cart system is not smart enough to figure this out. So disregard the shipping estimate that it calculates.

Certs Classic Mints

"Two, two, two mints in one!"

In the 1950s, the American Chicle Company, in response to consumer market research, determined that there was a new market niche for a mint dedicated to fresh breath.  As a result, they introduced Certs in 1956.

Other oral hygiene products like mouthwash and toothpaste are not portable and in the 1950s, available candies were not associated with fresh breath.  Certs combines both candy and an active breath freshener, Retsyn® in a small package.

The Certs brand was purchased by the Warner-Lambert, a subsidiary of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, in 1960.  Certs were very well advertised and quite popular as a candy and breath mint throughout the 1960s and 1970s.  In the early 2000s, the brand was purchased by the Cadbury Company.  Click here for a press release of this last corporate sale.
