Shipping for gum & candy is based on the total weight of your order.

The most economical route for most orders is the US Mail Priority Flat Rate with delivery confirmation. This will run $6.45 for very small orders (up to three 20-pack boxes) and $10.45 for larger orders up to 18 boxes (360 packs).

For larger orders where shipping will be a lot higher, we will calculate the best rate and email you for your approval before we charge your card.

Nostalgic Gum > Beeman's Gum

  Beeman's Chewing Gum

Beeman's Pepsin Chewing GumBeeman's chewing gum was introduced in the late 1800s by Edward E. Beeman, a Cleveland druggist.  According to a December, 1891 Harper's Magazine advertisement, the Beeman Chemical Company of Cleveland, Ohio produced this "Delicious Remedy for all Forms of Indigestion" as well as pure pepsin.

By 1899, the product had been added to the gum line of the American Chicle Company.  It was still advertised and promoted as a product to sooth indigestion and heartburn due to its ingredient called "pepsin."

As far as we know, Beemans gum has not contained pepsin in decades, but it remains one of the great tasting, rare gum brands still available today.

The American Chicle Company, was purchased by the Warner-Lambert, a subsidiary of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, in 1960.  In 2003, the brand was purchased by the Cadbury Company.

Like you, we love the product and hope that Black Jack, Adam's Sour Gums, Clove and Beemans will be revived as permanent products in the Cadbury-Adams line.  However, their current production plans call for making small batches every two to three years.  When current stock is gone, it will be gone for some time!
