Sugar Babies
Candy Coated Milk Caramels
Although
a lot softer and chewier than Sugar Daddies,
speaking from experience, they still can pop off a dental crown. But this
is certainly no reason not to enjoy this awesome, milk caramel candy.
Following the success of the
Sugar Daddy (introduced in 1926), the James O. Welch Company
introduced Sugar Babies in 1935 as part of their milk caramel-based "family" of
brands. But in contrast to the Sugar Daddy pops, the Babies come
in a bite-sized, pan-coated chewy form.
Welch's Candy was
purchased by Warner-Lambert and in the 70s, the brand was owned by Nabisco. Sugar Daddies disappeared for a time
but the brand was purchased in 1993 by
Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc. (formerly Sweets Company of America) and they thankfully brought them back.
ATTENTION
Shipping for gum & candy is based on the total weight of your order.
The most economical route for most orders is the US Mail Priority Flat Rate with delivery confirmation. This will run $5.45 for small orders and $10.45 for larger orders.
For larger orders where shipping will be a lot higher, we will calculate the best rate and email you for your approval before we charge your card.
Note: Our shopping cart system is not smart enough to figure this out. So disregard the shipping estimate that it calculates. |
