Purple Coneflower
Echinacea purpurea

This variety is the true wild form of echinacea. Although well known and quite popular for its medicinal properties, it is also a wonderful addition to your flower garden.

For best results, start seeds indoors in flats and transplant.  Surface sow or cover no more than 1/8 inch deep. They prefer locations that receive full sun and soil that is well-drained.
