Wormwood
Artemisia absinthium

This plant is native to Europe.  It is a woody perennial that requires a lot of room as it grows up to 5 feet tall.

If its botanical name sounds familiar, it is probably because its extract is the basis of the notorious and banned liquor Absinthe.

Please note: Wormwood is only one of many herbs used in the distillation and creation of the liquor. DO NOT purchase wormwood oil intended for aromatherapy and ingest it. You may be seriously injured or die.

Using wormwood is potentially dangerous and should only be used medicinally under the consultation of your health practitioner.
