Old-Time Flower Seeds

Although our emphasis has been on heirloom vegetable seeds, at the request of our customers, we have begun to add annual, biennial, and perennial flower seeds to our collection and offerings.

Click on a link below to view that category.

To keep our flower pages fast loading, we have created separate pages for annuals / biennials, perennials and mixes.

[ Annual & Biennial Flower Seeds ]

Annuals are plants that are sown from seed, grow, mature, flower, set seed and die in one growing season. They typically flower for long periods of time, require minimal maintenance, and seed can be saved at the end of the season.

Perennial Wildflowers

[ Perennial Flower Seeds ]

Perennials are plants that live longer than two years and flower each year after reaching maturity.  In terms of "flowers", we think of perennials as non-woody plants that flower, die back and go dormant through the winter, and then reappear and flower again the following year.

[ Wild Flower Seed Mixes ]

These annual / perennial wild flower mixtures were designed to fit a broad cross-section of conditions that generally exist within a given geographic region. They contain both native and non-native wildflowers. Non-native species were chosen on the basis of their versatility or ability to adapt to various conditions and to provide more balance and color.  We also offer a mix especially formulated to attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
