Serious gardeners acquire an appreciation for finely crafted
tools. Most have one or two personal favorites that they
would never be without. The "Iron and Wood"
garden tool collection are just such tools.
In
this era of low quality products that are cheaply priced and
mass produced in the factories of developing countries, the "Iron
and Wood" garden tool collection bucks this trend.
They are handcrafted in an effort
to preserve and promote the traditional craft of blacksmithing
utilizing
natural materials and made right here in the United States.

Constructed of heavy-gauge wrought iron,
with hickory handles that are turned by hand in
Oregon. Each tool is handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana and
carefully made using traditional techniques; forged by hand
with hammer and anvil, hardened in water, and finished by
hand.
The designs for these tools are based on
functional, time-tested implements found in traditional
agricultural communities. It is easy to see that their forms
are nature inspired as well.
The weight and strength of each tool aides in working the soil, while the hand
turned hickory handles provide great comfort. The tools are
finished with an exterior polyurethane coating to provide weather
resistance. These are fine quality tools crafted with pride
and a
heritage of the American west.
