Monarch Butterfly Mix

This mix is formulated for anyone wanting to specifically attract Monarch butterflies to their yard and gardens, although it is also effective at attracting other pollinators as well.

Each packet contains one ounce which will cover approximately 150 square feet.

Our mix includes the following fifteen annual and perennial varieties: Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea),Smooth Aster (Aster laevis), Siberian Wallflower (Cheiranthus allionii), Rocket Larkspur, Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia), Gayfeather (Liatris spicata), Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa), Candytuft (Iberis umbellata), Indian Blanket (Gaillardia pulchella),  Zinnia 'Dahlia Flowered Mix,' French Marigold 'Naughty Marietta,' Cosmos 'Sensation Mix,' Sulphur Cosmos 'Bright Lights,' Sweet Alyssum 'Tall White,' Hoary Vervain.

Planting Instructions:

As early in the spring as possible, prepare your flower bed site by removing weeds and loosening the soil. You can sow the seeds by broadcasting and then raking them into the soil. The goal is for the seeds to make good soil contact and to be covered with light soil no more than two-and-a-half times their thickness. Germination will start occurring when the soil reaches about 55ºF. The area will need to be kept moist until germination occurs.
