North American Wildflower Mix

This formulation of wildflower seeds contains varieties suited for supplying a carpet of color to gardeners living in a broad range of climates. As with all of our wild flower mixes, the North America Wildflower Mix contains annual flower species to deliver color the first year, and perennial flower varieties for blooms for years to come. It is also a popular selection with folks selecting our customized incentive packets and whose organizations have a national outreach, or for people using them for special events and weddings when they have attendees traveling from the four corners of the continent.

Each packet contains one (1) ounce which will cover approximately 310 square feet.

The mix includes the following twenty six annual and perennial varieties: White Yarrow, Cornflower, Scarlet Flax, Blue Flax, Lance-leafed Coreopsis, Annual Baby's Breath, Whitney, Plains Coreopsis, Columbine (mixed colors), Shirley Poppy, Garland Daisy, Shasta Daisy (Alaska), Clarkia Mix, Cosmos (Sensation Mix), Chinese Forget-Me-Nots, Giant Imperial Larkspur, Dwarf Blue Butterfly, Sweet William, African Daisy Flake, Purple Coneflower, California Poppy Mix, Annual Gaillardia, Treemallow, Alyssum Carpet of Snow, Red Mexican Hat, Gloriosa Daisy.

Planting Instructions: As early in the spring as possible, prepare your flower bed site by removing weeds and loosening the soil. You can sow the seeds by broadcasting and then raking them into the soil. The goal is for the seeds to make good soil contact and to be covered with light soil no more than two-and-a-half times their thickness. Germination will start occurring when the soil reaches about 55ºF. The area will need to be kept moist until germination occurs.
