Description
Amethyst  Certified Naturally Grown Seed

70 days — 'Amethyst' is a very productive bell-type pepper. The plants are very compact and sturdy and really do not require any support. However, if you don't keep them picked and the plants are allowed to become laden with fruit, they do benefit from some late season support.

The bell-shaped fruits are blocky and average about four inches by four inches. They start off as a beautiful pale ivory color and very quickly, as implied by their namesake gemstone, change to hues that range from lilac to deep purple at harvest stage. If allowed to remain on the plants, for example to save seed, they eventually turn to a mottled, orange-red.

'Amethyst' was bred by Craig LeHoullier and introduced by the Victory Seed Company in 2017. Each packet contains 0.25 gram, which is approximately 30 seeds.
