Description
Big Max
Cucurbita maxima

120 days — 'Big Max', as its name implies, will commonly grow big; fifty to seventy pounds big. It will never set any world records, but with a little special attention, its fruits can surpass one hundred pounds. As you might imagine, it does needs plenty of room to grow.

It is a beautiful variety that was is a popular for pumpkin patches, u-pick operations, roadside stands, yard decorations, etc. Although primarily marketed as an ornamental variety and for carving into Jack O'Lanterns, its three to four inch thick, bright-yellow orange flesh is of excellent cooking quality.

Introduced in about 1989. Each packet contains two grams, which is approximately 8 to 10 seeds.

Really enjoyed growing these
Very large vines, beautiful plant. The bugs loved them so much, I didn't get a chance to see any fruit, which is always a very good sign. NO GMO! I will be trying these again in the future.
