80 to 105 days — The productive plants grow twelve to twenty six inches tall, have white flowers, set pods that are green with white hairs and predominantly contain three seeds each.  The seeds are medium-sized, green with black eyes and contain 41% protein and 19% oil (GRIN). Harvest for edamame (pronounced "ed-uh-mah-may") as early as sixty five days but average is at about ninety days.

USDA accession number PI 549057 A and it was collected in Japan in 1915.  Each packet contains 25 to 30 seeds.
