Description
Georgia Jet

An excellent variety for those of us in northern climates. They are extremely hardy, vigorous, fast maturing (#1 size potatoes in only 80 to 90 days), and productive. 'Georgia Jets' have skin that is so red it is almost purple. Inside, the flesh is a deep orange color with a fine, somewhat moist texture, and a marvelous taste. An excellent baking variety.

Years of testing in the northern state of New York showed that 'Georgia Jets' produce two-and-a-half times the yield of standard varieties. Yields in other sections are exceptional as well. A good variety for farm stands and truck farmers.

For the 2017 gardening season, sweet potato plants are being sold in bundles of a dozen (12) plants.

SPECIAL ORDERING NOTES: Please carefully read the ordering and shipping policies found on the main sweet potato category page - click here. There is no way of accommodating special requests. The fulfillment of sweet potato plant orders is extremely time consuming and even more so, time sensitive.

Your order will be shipped to you in the date range for your zone as described. Please note that even if the cart shows First Class Postage, plants ship out from the farm in Tennessee on Mondays and Tuesdays using U.S. Priority Mail. With these methods, plants are healthy and strong when they arrive.

As a reminder, sweet potatoes can ONLY be sent to the LOWER 48 STATES and ship using the U.S. Postal Service. In order to minimize delays or lost packages, please provide a valid U.S. Mail address.
