Description
Dwarf Pink Opal Certified Naturally Grown Seed

70 days, tree-type — The high yielding, rugose, regular leaf plants of 'Dwarf Pink Opal' produce variably sized, cherry-type fruits that range from one to three ounces each, are pink in color, and have an excellent flavor.

A "Dwarf Tomato Project" introduction, 'Dwarf Pink Opal' was selected from the "Muddy" family by Susan Oliverson, who also did the majority of the work and named this variety. Craig LeHoullier and Carol Knapp contributed to the effort.

Bill Minkey produced the release quantity of seed, which was introduced for the 2018 gardening season. Each packet contains at least 10 seeds.

- In Limited Supply for 2018 -

In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Pink Opal' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Pink Opal' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
