Annual or tender perennial. Plants grow fourteen inches tall. The leaves are round, variegated, on long stalks. The flowers are long-spurred in colors including rose, orange, yellow and gold.
Originally from the cool highlands of South America. Plants prefer full sun, dry, well-drained or sandy soils, and are somewhat drought tolerant. Good as cut flowers. The young leaves, flowers and unripe seed pods have peppery flavor and may be used in salads.
Each packet contains 2 grams, which is approximately 10 to 12 seeds.
