3/26/20 - As the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic unrest continue to unfold, (read more by clicking here) you already are aware that all sectors of the economy are being affected by supply and demand. Just as there are no cuts in line at your local store, we fill orders fairly on a first in / first out basis. Please DO NOT ask for preferential treatment. We are working nearly around the clock, seven days a week, but are still experiencing unprecedented order volume. Our staff is currently getting orders mailed out within 18 to 24 business days from receipt, but this can obviously change quickly. DO NOT place an order if you cannot wait. If you do place an order, you are agreeing to the "Pandemic Ordering Terms" found by clicking here. Thank you for helping to support our biodiversity preservation work with your orders, we hope that you and your communities are safe and well, and we hope things all get back to normal quickly.
Due to the unexpected and radical depletion of our inventory, catalog sales have been rendered irrelevant. That is, if you were to place an order from a catalog printed in January and mail it in, we most likely would not have the seeds to send you. Thank you for your understanding and patience during these trying times.
We are an early signer of the Safe Seed Pledge
All of our seeds are open-pollinated, non-hybrid, not chemically treated, many are rare, family heirlooms or endangered, and we will never knowingly offer genetically engineered, aka GMO, varieties.
For twenty-two years now, people from all over the world have sent us their interesting and prized family seed varieties. Although our grow out schedules are tight, we do fit in quite a few "new" varieties each year. We eventually trial them and make as many as possible available to gardeners.
