Description
Pheasant’s Eye
Adonis aestivalis

The plants grow twelve to sixteen inches tall and produce flowers that are deep orange to red with a dark purple basal blotch. It is pollinated by bees, flies and beetles. All parts of plant are poisonous so caution should be taken.

Originally from Europe, it was introduced into parts of the Western U.S. where it is now found along roadsides and in cultivated fields.  'Pheasant's Eye' prefers full sun to part shade and does best in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soils under moderate to moist conditions. Works well in wildflower mixtures, beds and borders. Annual.

Each packet contains 0.25 gram, which is approximately 25 seeds.
