Great Northern

90 days — 'Great Northern' beans are perhaps the most popular and well-known varieties of dry bean.  The plants reach twenty to twenty four inches in height. Its white seeds are an excellent choice for baked beans or soups. More tender and cook more quickly than Navy Beans.

According to Oscar H. Will's 1935 seed annual, this very old bean variety was obtained in 1887 from Son of Star, an Hidatsa Indian whose people had raised it for many years. The variety grows well in Northern climates, hardy and a heavy yielder. Each ounce is approximately 90 seeds.

Easy beans to grow, going to order more!
I planted these this year. Just put in about 40 seeds just to see what they would do. They took off great, but they are in bushes but had feelers coming off the bushes. Next year I am going to plant them on a fence line and i bet they will go crazy. I got a quart and a pint of dried beans. Probably would have had more if they where going up.. Either way they are great easy beans to grow, going to order more, thanks Ohio
