Burpee Improved Bush Lima
75 Days — The beans are fatter than 'Fordhook' limas.  There are typically three to five pale green seeds per four to five inch long pod. The pods are borne in clusters of five to six pods.

Introduced by W. Atlee Burpee Seed Company in 1907.  Each packet contains one ounce, which is approximately 20 seeds.

Although the name of this variety contains a modern company's name, the seed we are offering is in no way sourced from, "owned by" or connected with that company. The name is simply the historically accurate, common name for the variety giving credit to the seedsman that originally released it.

What germinated did great!
This was our first time planting Lima Beans. We planted them in 2 gardens and the one in full sun germinated and grew great. The ones in my shadier flower garden never germinated. I wasted many of these beans because we had no clue how to prepare these to eat but the pods were nice and large and they produced well into the end of the season. For 2014 we will stick with green beans though.
