50 days — 'Provider' is high yielding with plants that have a strong, upright growth habit and pods that are five to six inches long, round in cross section, smooth, and medium-green in color.  The seeds are purple.  Resistant to Bean Common Mosaic Virus, Pod Mottle Virus, and some races of rust.

'Provider' was bred and released by the USDA Vegetable Breeding Laboratory at Charleston, South Carolina in 1966. It has a complex parentage that includes 'Valentine', 'Logan', 'Ashley Wax', 'Asgrow St. Greenpod' and 'Commodore'.  Each ounce is approximately 80 seeds.

The Winner!
This bean is the winner for me. Good germination, plants were healthy and it really lived up to its name in providing us with tons of beans. We wanted a good bean for dilly beans and this one is it.
