(Burpee's Tender Pod)

55 days —The pods are about six inches long, round in cross-section, uniform, meaty, stringless, and medium-green in color.  'Tenderpod' is a home garden variety that is primarily used fresh and processed as "green beans."  It is particularly well-suited for freezing.

But do not discard any overripe beans that you missed picking at the young, green bean stage.  Let them fully mature and pick after they have dried down. Although primarily used as a green bean, 'Tenderpod' also makes an excellent dry bean.

Released by W. Atlee Burpee and was an "All-America Selection®" winner in 1941.  Each ounce is approximately 95 seeds.

Although the name of this variety contains a modern company's name, the seed we are offering is in no way sourced from, "owned by" or connected with that company. The name is simply the historically accurate, common name for the variety giving credit to the seedsman that originally released it.
