Shasta Daisy
Chrysanthemum maximum

The plants of 'Shasta Daisy' are attractive, upright, and if allowed to naturalize in an area over a period of years, will increase into a dense stand.  The white blossoms with yellow centers bloom in the Summer and are a classic symbol of the 1960s. It  prefers locations that receive full sun and has moist soil, but does quite well in partial shade. 'Shasta' daisies will grow sixteen to twenty four inches tall.

Bred by famous 20th Century plant breeder and innovator Luther Burbank and introduced in 1890.  It is reportedly a stabilized cross between 'Ox-Eye Daisy' and a Japanese daisy. It is a perennial that is hardy in USDA zones 5 to 8.

Each packet contains 0.25 gram, which is approximately 230 seeds.
