Southern Pea (Cowpea)

65 days — The plants are an erect to semi-vining type habit. They are heavy producers of pods that are held off the ground well making them easy to pick. The peas are brown and are easy to shell. Each ounce is approximately 180 seeds.

Prolific and excellent eating
I remembered these growing up in rural North Carolina. They have a great flavor and grow well in my limited raised bed garden. They do vine more than I remember but a trellis solved that and made them easier to pick anyway. Continued to bear well into the Fall here in SC. Thanks Victory
