'Blanketflower' was collected and catalogued by Lewis and Clark's
"Corps of Discovery
" expedition, "On dry hills on the Rocky-mountains,
" while navigating the Lewis and Clark Pass in Montana on July 7, 1806.
The blossoms are red with yellow tips and highlights blooming from summer into autumn. Blanketflower thrives in dry soil in a location that receives full sun. The plants grow eighteen to thirty inches in height. We also have great success growing them in pots on the patio.
A perennial in USDA zones 3-8. Each packet contains 0.25 gram, which is approximately 75 seeds.
