Annual Sunflower
'Honey Bear'
Helianthus annuus

'Honey Bear' (sometimes seen listed as Honeybear) sunflowers can grow from four to eight feet in height and produce interesting, bright golden-yellow, five to ten inch flower heads.  The heads are full, quite bushy, and very popular with pollinating insects.  If allowed to stand into the fall, they can provide an important food source for migratory and over-wintering birds.  They also are great as cut flowers for both home and market.

Sunflowers are very easy to grow and make a good choice for novice gardeners and kids. Blooms in the summer and into the fall.  Each packet contains one gram, which is approximately 20 seeds.
