White Boston

70 days — The heads are large, up to twelve inches across, uniform, solid and firm yet tender, and light-green in color. The heads are tight allowing the large hearts to be blanched a bright, creamy, butter-yellow color. An excellent all season variety that is also well-suited for forcing.

Seed catalogs in the early 1930s and 1940s also sold 'White Boston' by the name of 'Unrivaled' and referred to it as a, ". . . new superior strain of 'Big Boston', without the red tinge on the leaves."[2]  Each packet contains one gram, which is approximately 500 to 600 seeds.
