'Jamaica' is classified as a "
flue-cured" type tobacco that was historically used for cigarette blending. The plants grows to about forty-four inches tall when topped and reaches about six feet tall when allowed to develop flower heads.
Its leaves have no surface puckering, are egg-shaped in outline, and attached to the plant stalks at the broad end. Typical leaves are eleven inches wide by twenty-three inches long.
Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552315 and is grown for us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
