'Judy's Pride' is a White Burley-type tobacco variety that was historically used for manufacturing cigarettes and fine smoking mixtures.[1] The plants are short, erect, with leaves that are egg-shaped in outline, attached at the broad end, and have a slightly puckered surface. The flowers are pink. It is reportedly not resistant to black root-rot.

'Judy's Pride' is believed to have originated from a selection, rather than a cross, 'Kelley' being the parent variety.[1] Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552483 and was sent to us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
