Pinkney Arthur
Nicotiana tabacum L
[ Approximately 100 seeds per packet ]
Classified as a "flue-cured" type tobacco, 'Pinkney Arthur' is an old North Carolina variety dating back to at least the early 1900s, probably much prior. It was historically used for various pipe and cigarette blends. The plants grows to about fifty-five inches tall when topped, and seven feet when allowed to flower.

Its leaves have slightly undulating margins, puckered surfaces, are much longer than wide, with the widest point below the middle. Typical leaves are eleven inches wide by twenty-six inches long.

Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552329 and is grown for us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
