Oregon Giant

70 days — 'Oregon Giant' plants grow up to about three feet tall and start producing early in the season and continue for a long time. They are very productive. The pods are flat, four to five inches long, and sweet. The peas are wrinkled seeded.

Bred by Dr. James Baggett of Oregon State University and released in 1991. Resistant to pea enation mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and fusarium wilt race 1. Each ounce is approximately 100 seeds, which is generally enough to plant at least a ten foot row.
Great snacking pea!
This is by far my favorite pea, ever! I grow four to six varieties of peas annually and Oregon Giant is ALWAYS on the list. I love picking a handful whenever I'm in the garden (or sometimes just passing through), putting them in my pocket, and snacking on them. Try them for yourself!
