— 'Ohozyu' plants are bushy, reach about twenty-four inches in height, have white flowers producing pods containing three to four seeds each. The beans are nearly spherical, yellow, with few culls. They have about 22% and 39% protein.
Collected at Kotoni, Sapporo, Japan by J.L. Creech, USDA-ARS Crops Research Division, Plant Industry Station at Beltsville, Maryland and entered into the USDA's collection as accession number PI 227333 in August of 1955. Each packet contains 25 to 30 seeds.
