(VIR 9175)


100 days, indeterminate — The plants grow thirty six inches in height, have white flowers, and produce medium, oblong, slightly flattened, black seeds that contain about 17% oil and 42% protein. Reportedly it is resistant to Fusarium as well as being cold tolerant.

The parent stock was USDA, ARS accession number PI 522192A. It was originally collected in Moldova and donated in 1988 to the USDA by the N. I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry (VIR) Leningrad, U.S.S.R. where its accession number is VIR 9175. Each packet contains 25 to 30 seeds.
