Description
Sayamusume

68 to 100 days, determinate — The plants grow twenty four to thirty inches in height with pods containing two to four large, elongated beans that are light green color. 'Sayamusume' is a high yielding and tasty variety.

Harvest for edamame after the beans have plumped and the pods have filled (at about 70 days), or dried after about 100 days.  Edamame is a popular snack in Japan, often served with beer. Because it has health benefits that other snacks do not provide, it is becoming popular in the United States. Each packet contains 25 to 30 seeds.
