90 days, determinate — The plants grow eighteen to twenty two inches in height with white flowers. The pods contain two seeds that are green with buff eyes and contain about 20% oil and 41% protein.

'Tengamine' is an edamame-type (pronounced "ed-uh-mah-may") that was obtained from Sakate Seed Company and in the USDA GRIN as ARS accession number PI 538410. It was originally collected in Shikoku, Japan and donated to the National Seed Storage Lab in 1986. Each packet contains 25 to 30 seeds.
