'Honeyboat' Delicata
Cucurbita pepo

105 days — The fruits are tan with green stripes and oblong in shape. They have a high dry matter to moisture ratio making them a good storage variety as well as being excellent quality and very sweet tasting.

An open-pollinated variety, 'Honeyboat' was bred by Dr. James Baggett and his team at Oregon State University and introduced to the gardening pubic in 1990. Each packet contains three grams, which is approximately 50 seeds.

My New Favorite Winter Squash
This is the sweetest squash I have ever grown--delicious simply brushed with olive oil and roasted--nothing else needed. I usually grow two varieties of winter squash, but this year I'm planting just the Honeyboat Delicata.
