Azoychka Certified Naturally Grown Seed

60 days, indeterminate — 'Azoychka' is a very early maturing variety with regular leaf plants. For such an early variety, the fruits are good sized (five to eight ounces), oblate shaped, yellow (not golden or orange) with bright yellow interiors.

Its pleasant tartness more closely approximates the flavor of a good red tomato, 'Azoychka' has a nice tart taste without the typical sweet or fruity flavor people associate with yellow-fruited varieties, .

This is a variety that Kent Whealy, co-founder of the Seed Savers Exchange, brought back from Russia on one of his collecting trips. It first became available to seed saver's in 1995.

Much of the seed that is currently being offered by other seed companies and collectors is reportedly crossed and incorrect. Our original seed was sent to us by our friend, author, and tomato authority, Craig LeHoullier. We have grown it out for several years and believe it to be true-to-type. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

Wonderful Tomato for Cool Coastal Area
An Indeterminate Tomato that delivers large fruit all season from Late Spring to Late Fall in the cool damp conditions of the Southern Oregon Coast. I have never found a Tomato plant as good as this one for growing on an ocean cliff. The flavor and texture is scrumptious ... makes good sauce and the best huge sandwich slices.

Love this variety
We've grown this for last 4 years maybe longer. Bought the seeds when VSC first started offering it. It is easy to grow, did well in poor soil, didn't have problem with damping off or blossom end rot. Tolerance to aphids were about average. Fruit size were bigger than the 5 oz stated in they were wonderful in salad with lots of flavor. We even made yellow orange pasta sauce out of it and it was amazing. Concentrated flavor is so good, the sauce didn't need any pinch of sugar to sweeten it. Very mild. It's our favorite yellow tomato. Thank you Victory seeds!!

A lovely tomato. Fun to share with friends. Nice firm yet tender. Balanced flavor. Started producing about 60 days. Tends to crack a bit. Will plant next year. I did provide lattice shade.
