Dwarf Melanie's Ballet Certified Naturally Grown Seed Open Source Seed Initiative

80 days, tree-type — The rugose, regular-leaf plants of 'Dwarf Melanie's Ballet' are vigorous and productive. The fruits are elongated heart-shaped, pink colored, two to four ounce, paste-type tomatoes with an excellent, slightly sweet flavor. This is one of the very first dwarf paste tomatoes.

Working with the "Leggy family," Susan Oliverson selected, stabilized and named 'Dwarf Melanie's Ballet'. Bill Minkey grew out the seed for the initial release in 2018. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.

In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Dwarf Melanie's Ballet' has been released by "The Dwarf Tomato Project" (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Dwarf Melanie's Ballet' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
