[1] 'Globonnie' is a stabilized cross between '
Livingston Globe' and '
Bonny Best'
[2,3] and introduced in 1938.
Our original seed sample was USDA GRIN accession number PI 121665. During our early grow outs, we did observe a small percentage of plants that produced larger, more oblate-shaped fruits. We will continue working to cleanup this variety over the coming years. Each packet contains at least 20 seeds.
