Description
Golden Bison Certified Naturally Grown Seed

59 Days, determinate — The compact plants of 'Golden Bison' are very productive. The fruits are medium-sized, globe-shaped (slightly flattened), and golden-yellow in color. Some specimens we observed developed a slight blush on the blossom end. They are mild flavored, sweet and juicy.

Bred by Dr. Albert F. Yeager of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station as a stabilized cross between 'Bison' and 'Golden Queen' and released in 1930. Although well adapted to the Great Plains Region, it does well anywhere compact, early maturing plants are desirable. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
