Kim's Civil War Oxheart  Certified Naturally Grown Seed
A 2015 Victory Seed Company Introduction

65 days, indeterminate — If I had to use one word to describe 'Kim's Civil War Oxheart', it would be, "Wow!" The heart-shaped fruits are pink, large (reaching up to twenty ounces), solid with very few seeds, tasty, and really early for such a large tomato. The regular leaf vines are vigorous and huge.

Sent to us by a fellow Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) farmer, Linda Taylor of Boring, Oregon who received seeds from a neighbor. The family has been growing it since the Civil War-era. Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

Favorite Tomato of 2016
2016 was the second year of vegetable gardening in my very sandy and not very healthy soil. Despite the short growing season and lousy soil, Kim's Civil War Oxheart was my showstopper of the year. It arrived early and was the tastiest tomato out of the several varieties I grew. Highly recommended for the shorter, cooler seasons of the upper Midwest.
