Description
Monarch Certified Naturally Grown Seed
(Buist's Monarch)

80 days, indeterminate — The fruits range from eight to eighteen ounces in weight, are pink in color, and oblate in shape. 'Monarch' has a tart but not sour flavor with subtle, sweet undertones and lingering aftertastes. Quite interesting, complex and tasty.

It was originally introduced in 1913 by the now defunct Robert Buist Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our stock if grown from seeds sent to us by author and tomato authority Craig LeHoullier (originally from USDA, ARS accession NSL 27394). Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.
