Garrisonian
90 days — The melons are large in size with a hard rind and sweet, rose colored flesh. Well adapted for Southern and Eastern United States melon markets.
'Garrisonian' was bred by using classical breeding techniques to make a complex cross between several parents, one of which was an older variety called 'Garrison.' It was bred by the USDA, Southeastern Vegetable Breeding Laboratory, Charleston, South Carolina and released in 1957. Each packet contains two grams, which is approximately 20 seeds.
