California Poppy
'Mission Bells' Mix
Eschscholzia californica

'Mission Bells' is a semi-double (that is, some double blossom flowers) in a mix of color that range from cream to yellow to orange to pink to dark pink.  It is quite a beautiful domestication of the 'California Poppy' wildflower.  'California Poppies' are common throughout the western United States. Under the proper conditions, it naturalizes well and is quite hardy and drought tolerant.

Choose a location that is sunny and has well drained, dry to moist soil.  Sow seeds in the early spring for blooms all summer long.  If allowed, they will self-sow and come back year after year.  They grow twelve to eighteen inches tall with about the same spread and make nice border plantings.  A tender perennial. Each packet contains 0.25 gram, which is approximately 125 seeds.
