Description
Ponderosa
88 days, indeterminate — 'Ponderosa' is an old classic and a good producer.  The fruits are large, weighing twelve ounces to two pounds, have small seed cavities, and borne in clusters of three to five fruits.  They are purplish-pink in color, mild flavored, and excellent for slicing and canning.  They do have fair to poor leaf coverage, require staking, and under certain conditions, can be prone to cracking.

Pre-released by Peter Henderson in 1891 as "Number 400," it name was changed to 'Ponderosa' upon its debut in 1892.[1]  Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

Get ready to impress your friends! These put on some really nice big round slightly flat on the bottom tomatoes. Weighed some up to 20 ounces. Will definitely keep this one in the garden!
