Description
Tennessee Suited Certified Naturally Grown Seed Certified Naturally Grown Seed

80 days, determinate tree-type — 'Tennessee Suited' is a vigorous, rugose, regular leaf variety that produces fruits that are a rich purple color (clear skinned black) with green stripes. They are medium-sized (four to ten ounce), smooth, oblate in shape, very juicy and tender with a delicious, well-balanced flavor that is neither too tart or too sweet.  It should be noted that there is some variability in shape, with some fruits being deeply lobed.  As with any thin-skinned pink/purple variety, the fruit are somewhat prone to radial cracking if exposed to wet weather conditions.

Developed by members of the "Dwarf Tomato Project" from a cross between 'Rosella Purple' and 'Pink Berkeley Tie Dye'.  It was selected and named by Patrina Nuske Small of Australia in 2009 and named Tidy. Those who contributed to the development of 'Adelaide Festival' were Patrina, Craig LeHoullier, Ted Maiden, Sue Bailey, Bill Yoder, Doug Frank, and Bill Minkey.  Each packet contains approximately 20 seeds.

In an effort to keep this variety available to home gardeners, 'Tennessee Suited' has been released by Patrina Nuske Small (the breeder) to the public under the Open Source Seed Initiative (OSSI). You have the freedom to use these OSSI-Pledged seeds in any way you choose. In return, if you save seeds or use 'Tennessee Suited' to breed a new variety, you pledge not to restrict others' use of these seeds or their derivatives by patents or other means, and to include this pledge with any transfer of these seeds or their derivatives.
