'Havana 211' plants grows to about forty-five inches tall when topped, or can reach six to seven feet when allowed to develop its flower heads with attractive pink flowers. Its leaves are typically twelve inches wide by twenty-four inches long and are used primarily for cigar wrappers.

Developed by the University of Wisconsin Agricultural Experiment Station from a stabilized cross between 'Page's Comstock' and 'Havana 38'. It is black root rot resistant and was released in 1936. Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552433 and was sent to us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
